Privacy
This page says what RaiseNote collects, why, where it lives, and how to have it removed. It is written to be read, not skimmed.
What we collect
- Your email address — to sign you in and to tell you when a report is ready.
- The documents you upload and the reports produced from them.
- Usage records — when analyses were run and how many, so allowances can be counted; sign-in requests, so codes can be rate-limited.
- Interest requests — if you tell us you would like your own deals analysed, we keep what you wrote.
- Activity records — when you sign in and use the service we record the action taken, the time, your IP address, an approximate location derived from it (country and city), and information about your browser and device. We use these for account security, preventing abuse and account sharing, and understanding how the service is used so it can be improved. Activity records are kept for up to 12 months.
- Feedback — if you rate a report or send an issue or feature request, we keep what you wrote and review it.
We do not collect payment details (there are no fees at present), we do not use advertising trackers, and no third-party analytics service receives any of this — activity records stay in our own database.
How documents are processed
Uploaded documents are read by an automated pipeline that uses a third-party AI model provider under commercial API terms which, by default, do not use submitted content to train their models. The pipeline also queries public sources (exchange announcements, market data, news) about the issuer. Documents are stored in a private bucket in Australia (Sydney region) and are only ever read by the pipeline and, where support requires it, by Redwood Stacks staff.
Who can see your material
Your documents and reports: only you, within your login. Sample analyses are shared with every account; your own deals and reports are not. Reports are rendered on screen and are not offered as downloads. The operator can access uploaded documents and generated reports where that is needed to provide the service or to investigate a problem you report — the automated pipeline already processes every upload, and this states plainly that a person can look too. Two account-level facts are also shared with our commercial partner, described next.
Our commercial partner
RaiseNote is built and funded jointly with a commercial partner under a signed agreement. That partner has a read-only view of the business. It shows two things about accounts: that an account exists and the month it was created, and that a deal in a given ticker and of a given type was analysed in a given month.
These two are never shown together and cannot be matched up. The partner cannot tell which account ran which deal, and there is no route from either list to a person or to a deal.
Your uploaded documents and your reports are not included, in any form — not their contents, not their length, not a count of them. Those stay visible only to you within your login, and to the operator as described above.
Retention
Documents, reports and usage records are kept while your account is active. There is not yet a self-serve delete control in the app: email redwoodstacks@gmail.com from your sign-in address and we will delete a deal, or your whole account, and confirm when it is done.
Cookies
One session cookie keeps you signed in, and one long-lived cookie identifies the device (a random value, used for the security and account-sharing checks above). Your theme preference is stored in your browser. Nothing else.
